Sonic The Hedgehog 3 

Sonic and Tails have a new task ahead of them.  Doctor Robotnik has come back with his deadly death egg!!  Once sonic destroyed it it had landed on the mysterious floating island.  He meets with the guardian of the floating island.  Knuckles The Echidna!  He tells them that Sonic and Tails are bad so that he can keep them occupied while he steals the Master Emerald to re-power the death egg.  The master emerald keeps the floating island floating but he doesn't care and Knuckles has no idea about this plan.  Looks like Sonic and Tails have their hands full in this adventure.

This game surpasses all the previous Sonic games with an actual storyline, long zones, new double jumps, and the new character Knuckles.  The game play is mostly the same except for the double jump moves which makes it much better.  There is not one drawback in this game that I can think of.  If you guys can then please let me know.
